Role Overview & Responsibilities
Full-time permanent opportunity for an Operational Technician at a leading UK food manufacturing company. Here at 2 Sisters Food Group we are proud of our relentless work helping to feed the UK.
- Sunday-Thursday.
- Working hours: 3pm-Midnight.
- Starting pay rate: £12.69 p/hr.
- 40 hours per week
- Carry out machines set up and prestart checks; ensure machines is safe to operate
- Carry out label and film roll changes
- Label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection
- Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency and follow Standard Running Conditions set out by the department
- Ensure workplace maintains high standards of GMP and hygiene & Health and Safety
- Support Managers to ensure smooth and safe delivery of production plan and carrying required quality
Other tasks may include setting up and monitoring equipment & filling machines.
The Ideal Candidate- Good standards of spoken & written English
- Solid level of numeracy
- Self-motivated and highly resilient
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with sometimes conflicting need & wants
- Computer literate
- Good decision-making skills
- Passion for delivering our customer orders whilst making sure our high Health and Safety, Food Safety and Product Quality standards are met.
- You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment.
- You will need to enjoy working at pace and have a keenness to take action and achieve results in a fast moving business.
- Previous experience working in a factory or warehouse environment would be useful, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to consumers via major retailers. Our colleagues work across ten primary sites across the UK, where chickens are transported from nearby farms for processing and at our cutting sites prepared for portioning, deboning, and filleting. UK Poultry predominantly produces private-label products for major retailers. We know our proficiency is in processing, so we work with experts in other fields such as: hatching, farming, animal husbandry and transport to ensure that our supply chain is as effective and efficient as possible.
