Supply Chain Assistant / Import coordinator
Location: Witham
Salary: £24 - £28k (depending on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry for import clearance declarations ensuring all goods cleared in a timely manor
- Ensure compliance with UK customs import regulations
- Point of contact for customs related queries
- Involved in haulier negotiations and obtaining rates for inbound and outbound transport
- Recording haulier information and transport costs, ensuring these are adhered to at invoice approval stage.
- KPI reporting on logistical costs
- Other cross functional duties working with all departments within the supply chain process.
- Provide occasional cover for purchasing including:
- Raising purchase orders for stock deliveries or deliveries direct to customers
- Booking hauliers for inbound transport to our warehouse or directly to customers premises
- Creation of new product codes
- Enthusiastic with the motivation to learn and grow
- Cope well under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Logistical experience and some customs import knowledge is essential
- Some purchasing experience would be preferred
- Good excel skills is a must (V-Look ups, pivot tables, basic formulas)
- Knowledge on Microsoft office
- Competent in maths (percentages, gross margins, unit conversions)
