Apprentice Laboratory Technician

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician Apprentice to start a Level 3 apprenticeship whilst working within our John Knight Laboratory based at our Headquarters in Liverpool.

In this role, you will perform effective and high quality analysis in our state of the art analytical laboratory on client’s metals and minerals commodity samples, including base metal concentrates, electronic scrap, blister copper, and complex secondary materials, following given methods and procedures to produce accurate and timely analytical results.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential Skills

• Good understanding of laboratory environment
• Strong communicator
• Good IT skills

Essential Personal Qualities

• Enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude who can deliver results while working according to our Company Values
• Technical bias with strong interest in inorganic chemistry
• Analytical
• An effective learner
• A high level of attention to detail

Qualifications

• 4 GCSE’s with Grades A-C or 9-5 including Maths and English are essential
• A Level(s) in Science are advantageous
