Product Owner

You don’t need any experience of working with insurance before.

What you will need is experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within an Agile Scrum environment with a particular focus on the front-end customer journey.

And great ideas, this is a business that embraces creativity, process improvement and change.

If you identify something and know how to make it better, speak up! You’ll be amazed at how many changes have been made within the business from employee input.

This Household Insurance business have gone through major digital transformation over the past few years. So much so, their development and product team is now sitting at 20 people.

The product team are split into three; Core Product, Customer led projects and Pricing & Rating.

You’ll be working within the Customer Led projects. Ensuring that the website is fit for purpose, for example making sure that the front end of the claims portal is user friendly.

And if not, communicating across the business to ensure that this is made more efficient.

I mean, not everyone is going to understand that you need to change specific coding to get there, all they need to know is that it’s just adding an extra option on the customer claims portal…..

But you’ll know all this because you can interpret both. You’ve possibly even been developer at some point.

It’s not a management role but you will need to be able to lead projects so having that influence and direction in order for people to follow is a must.

Oh, and it's a remote role. They would like to see your face every now and again in the office based in New Malden though.
