Due to ongoing expansion, Alten Ltd is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oxfordshire within the Aerospace sector. This is a fantastic chance to join a fast-growing company with strong core values of;Excellence,Accountability, Integrity and Service.

Your new role:

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be one of our consultants performing on one of our major engineering projects in the UK. You will also be contributing to our development and growth within the aerospace industry.

As a Mechanical Engineer your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design and development of complex mechanical systems
  • Conducting analysis and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the design process
  • Provide technical support to clients and external partners
  • Ensure the products meet the specified quality, cost and delivery requirements through effective design to manufacture processes

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mind-set. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with Alten, developing their engineering knowledge as a Mechanical Engineer and a consultant.

Experience required:

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on product design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of material selection processes
  • Experience with working to industry standards
  • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications required:

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.

Salary: £28,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
