Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Seven Room Boutique guest house with rooms and spa. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance, as well as project managing maintenance projects. They will be expected to have a minimum of two years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing repairs

• Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with fire and legionella safety regulations.

• Project manage maintenance projects, including scheduling and coordinating work.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems

• Coordinate with outside contractors as needed

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• On occasion, be available to respond to out of hours maintenance calls

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in plumbing, joinery or electrics.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems

• Ability to work independently and make decisions

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Flexibility to work various shifts and on call as required.

• Legionella and Fire Safety certification or willingness to obtain.
