Cargo Handler
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose
To provide an effective & efficient cargo hand service delivered to specific customer requirements and in line with Company quality processes.
Accountabilities
- Vehicle driving and other duties associated with vessel loading / discharge operations.
- Monitoring and maintaining work practices with particular focus on Health & Safety.
- Ensure customer and manufacturers requirements are maintained on both quality and standards.
- Keep updated on light / heavy lashing standards as required.
- Support your Supervisor and the Management Team in achieving operational key performance indicators.
- When required, participate in the investigation of accidents, training programmes and the achievement of Health & Safety performance targets.
Skills, experiences, qualifications, and competencies
Essential
- Full, clean driving licence
- Flexible approach to work due to annualised hours and flexible working arrangements.
Ideal
- Previous experience of the following;
- Mooring vessels
- Vehicle lashing and securing
- Vehicle handling
- Fork lift truck driving
- Previous experience within a manual based role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,620.00 per year
