QA Engineer

About the Role

Due to continued new client growth we are looking to add a QA/Test Engineer to our Preston development team. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

· Write a killer brief (work with our team to design and create test criteria)

· Be our thirst for knowledge (stay up to date with latest innovations)

· Drive us forward with AI (implement repeatable and automated testing)

· Keep everyone on track (with realtime feedback on new features)

· Be the devil in the detail (drive us forward to maintain the highest quality product)

Desirable Knowledge:

· Exposure to agile methodology, and software testing life cycles in agile environments

• Knowledge of DevOps processes and experience
• Coding experience
• Automated testing experience

Ways of Working

· This role expands our existing development team, based out of our Preston office.

· Part of our onboarding, training and set up requires full time office attendance

· Ultimately a 3/2 hybrid split is our normal practice

· 22 days holiday, rising to 25 days with service.

· Salary: £22-£30k FTE

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
