OPERATIONS DATA ANALYST
BERNARD MATTHEWS DERBY LTD
£25,000 - £30,000
Monday – Friday 7am – 3.30pm
The primary responsibility of this role is overseeing all things operations in regard to labour planning, analysing data for production KPI’s, monitoring labour and recruitment, and creating reports for Senior Management. As such, you will be responsible for anything related to Operations, ensuring our KPI’s are tracked and achieved.
Duties
- Ultimately responsible for achieving efficiencies for the business whilst driving down costs and expenditure.
- Reporting in to Operations/Factory Manager and attending Operations meetings to take notes and action log.
- Ensuring operational KPI’s are met (efficiency and waste)
- Obtain data and use Excel proficiently to present and analyse before making new suggestions and informed decisions with regards to process improvement.
- Understanding the full production cycle and the different KPI’s involved
- Understanding the business peaks and troughs to plan labour requirements
- Monitoring establishment numbers for weekly recruitment
- Overseeing 2 Operations administrators who co-ordinate the 2 main departments in the factory (RTC/RTE)
- Preparing reports for senior management
- Managing shift managers holidays and approving holidays
- Overseeing a Flexi pool of candidates and inviting them in for shifts where we are short in the operations plan.
Requirements
- Experience in operations within a manufacturing business
- Data analysis – manipulate large volumes of data into presentable formats
- Project management skills
- Leadership skills
- Highly organized and good at prioritizing workload
- Solutions focused problem solver
- Microsoft Proficient (Excel strength)
- Streamlining processes and increasing efficiency throughout production.
