Volunteer Social Club Helper (Colchester Choir)
Role Overview & Responsibilities
In Essex we're proud to have the only blind veterans choir in the whole world! Made up of veterans with an average age of 85, they sing an assortment of numbers from war-time classics to patriotic anthems and jazz hits!
They meet fortnightly for rehearsals in Colchester and love the sense of purpose that the choir has given them in working towards a goal. Our social club volunteers are there to make sure everything runs smoothly and a good time is had by all! Whether you’re helping with the lunch orders, providing transport for our veterans or making sure everyone has what they need on the day, your help is incredibly valuable.
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 years and understand the importance of confidentiality and relationship boundaries. The role can be flexible around your other commitments, but we ask that you are reliable and punctual for our veterans. You will be fully trained and supported so you feel comfortable and confident in your volunteering.
