Unity Developer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled developer to join the Blue Zoo digital team, creating educational games for young children. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and able to build games from start to finish. You will be working in a small dedicated team so communication and well-written readable code is vital to success. While you will have responsibility for the games you create, you will be using the team's existing framework and a Lead Developer will be there to help guide you.
This opportunity is fixed-term and will run for 6 months.

Day to Day:
- Create logic for game engines based on game designs.
- Implement art and audio assets into the game.
- Report progress/issues to Lead Developer.
- Write code that conforms to the team's framework.
- Test your games for bugs and fix bugs where necessary
- Take initiative on your own workflow and work through a task list and deliver tasks on time.
- Ensure that content meets Blue Zoo quality standards.
- Communicate clearly with your line manager, feeding back on weekly requirements and progress.
- Offer solutions to increase efficiency and engagement within the games.UNITY
Must Have:
- Excellent understanding of Unity, including UI, Animation and optimisation.
- Excellent C# skills.
- A good understanding of concepts such as OOP, design patterns and data structures.
- Experience using version control such as Git.
- Experience working with mobile games, ideally having shipped titles from start to finish.
- Experience using Unity's Addressable system and Unity Cloud build.
- Understanding of Unity's Scriptable Objects
- Understanding of state-machines.
- Experience creating educational games.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in Photoshop and audio editing
- Experience working in children’s media
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
