General Garage Mechanic & MOT Tester

Bridges Auto's LTD is a customer service-focused MOT testing station based in Kettlebrook, Tamworth. We also offer vehicle servicing, tyre replacements & general repairs.

Your core base duties will be:

• Carrying out MOTs booked in throughout the day
• Undertaking interim & full services on our client's vehicles
• Liaising with our customers in person & over the phone
• General housekeeping
• Assisting with ad-hoc repairs on vehicles as & when needed (ie brake changes, clutches, suspension arms, exhausts etc)

Due to the relaxed working environment that we offer, we are looking for someone to join the team who is capable of being a self-starter & using their own initiative throughout the day to work independently on their own tasks as well as directly alongside other members of the team.

Salary: £26,000/annum

• Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:30 (with a 1-hour unpaid break)
• Every other Saturday, 08:00-13:00
• 28 Days Holiday (including bank holiday)

Our candidate must:

• Hold a clean full UK driving license
• Hold a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Qualification

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have experience carrying out MOTs on vehicles & hold a clean MOT license
• Enjoy carrying out general repairs on vehicles, such as brake changes, exhausts, clutches etc (full training can be provided)
• Be comfortable & familiar with working both independently & within a team
• A self-starter & have their own initiative to crack on and get the job done
• Be competent in general vehicle knowledge

We're looking for a proactive team player to help with the successful day-to-day running of the garage. The successful candidate will carry out MOTs & vehicle servicing tasks daily, as well as ad-hoc repair work.

This is an extremely physical role, this will require a can-do proactive attitude & moderate fitness to complete the tasks at hand.
