Kitchen Porter/Assistant - accommodation available

Hello and thankyou for looking at our advert .

We are looking for a FULL TIME Kitchen Porter to join our small team . We are a friendly bunch and you will be required to do whatever jobs are asked of you to support the head chef and assist with other areas back of house.

We have a staff accommodation room available which the right applicant could live in with access to communal staff facilities at the hotel. Alternatively if you do not require accommodation then we will pay a live out bonus each month.

For the right applicant we will pay a £400 joining fee when you have completed your 90 day probationary period with us , we will also pay you a further £400 bonus on completion of your first year with us .

Life work balance is important so you will get your 2 days off each week.

The below job tasks are not exhaustive but could include the following :

Start of shift Duties - (seasonal variations)

• Clean fires, clean hearths, light fires, fill coal buckets
• Sweep courtyards, steps outside coach house, front of house and staff stairs
• Wipe tables and chairs on external patio
• Clear drives and paths as required
• Empty cigarette bins every morning

Daily duties

• Burn boxes
• Wash all pots in kitchen
• Empty bins in kitchen and office( at the end of your shift)
• Sweep and mop all floors in kitchen
• Clean kitchen as directed by head chef- shelves, benches, walls
• Clean cookers, fryers, grills
• Clean fridges in kitchen
• Assist chefs with vegetable preparation if required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,900.00-£23,100.00 per year
