Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Dispenser you will work in a well-equipped independent community pharmacy with an experienced manager and dispensary team that delivers a wide range of pharmacy services to the local community.
Responsibilities & Duties
Your main responsibilities will be:-
· To dispense items under the supervision of the Pharmacist
· To receive and check prescriptions
· To give advice on "P" and "OTC" medicines and prescriptions to customers as appropriate
· To order stock and take responsibility for stock control
· To receive, unpack and check deliveries from suppliers
· To ensure stock rotation and carry out date checks
· To dispense medication into monitored dosage systems
· To utilize the electronic prescription service
Qualifications and Skills
Essential skills:-
· Dispensary Assistant NVQ2, MCA qualification or equivalent. You must have this qualification to apply.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· The ability to work well within a team and autonomously
