Warehouse Picker/Packer

We are currently seeking a Warehouse picker of fruit & vegetables.

This includes the following:

• Checking, accepting and unloading of deliveries (as required)
• Pick orders daily according to customer requirements as shown on the pick sheets
• Remove any damaged/bruised products for downgrading or waste
• Careful packing of produce to maintain quality and protect from damage and/or allergen contamination
• Ensure any issues affecting food safety (i.e. out of date food, chemical spills, glass breakage etc.) are reported to the manager on duty
• Keep warehouse, yard, fridges and equipment clean and well maintained (as per the cleaning schedules)
• Manage and control all stock to ensure the old stock is properly rotated and new stock is stored in a “First In First Out” format (paying special attention to dairy and chilled/ambient goods with use by or best before dates)
• To follow the company personal hygiene policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene at all times

Hours of work

Monday to Saturday 23:00 to 07:00am

This job is available for immediate start.

Tuesday 23:00 - 07:00 Wednesday and so on

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

• Right to work in UK
• LIVE in the UK
• Able to lift heavy items
• Able to work Friday nights into Saturdays
• Early riser
• Be able to work as part of team
• Have transport to get to work
