Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary / Key Responsibilities
· Maintain computer systems currently running on MS and IOS based operating systems
· Undertake backups, restores, storage and monitoring procedures
· Monitor systems to guarantee operational availability
· Maintain and improve procedures and documentation in line with CA Group requirements
· Participate in departmental and companywide programs and initiatives to support the business
· First line IT support, providing helpdesk style support for the office, shop floor based IT equipment and software by problem solving and user education enabling productive / efficient practices
· Supporting remote workers and remote site IT operations from the central portals
· Ensure smooth operation and support of IT systems by monitoring and resolving data flow issues
· Follow established CA Group procedures to maintain standards and continuity to improve central support and knowledge transfer between colleagues and users
· Follow established procedures for backup routines, media, storage and system monitoring to ensure data integrity, security and accuracy
· Ensure documentation and procedures are created, maintained and improved upon to enable smooth operations for common duties
· Assist in undertaking appropriate preventative maintenance on all essential equipment
· Assist in new IT developments and projects
· Upgrade and update hardware and software to meet business and user requirements to increase productivity and maintain stability
· Work with external suppliers and contractors to ensure department and company needs are met
· Participate and contribute to all activities across the CA Group
