Lead Fire Safety Officer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
To provide professional advice for Fire Safety on behalf of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust as agreed with the Chief Executive through the Executive Director responsible for Fire Safety. Responsible for fire risk assessments and fire safety training of all staff throughout the Trust and other service providers on Trust property by constantly devising and improving training, assessment and evacuation methods commensurate to particular departments. Provide informed advice on Fire Strategies to the Trust on its development across its Estate.
As one of the Trust's 'competent persons' on all matters relating to Fire Safety, the post holder will provide statutory and mandatory guidance and advice across the Trust in all matters relating to fire safety to ensure compliance with statutory legislated acts relating to fire and associated with fire, ensuring the safety of its patients, visitors and staff.
The post holder will work autonomously with the freedom to organise their own day-to-day work, meetings, assessments and inspections, etc.
