Accounts and Audit Junior

Accounts and Audit Junior | Medway – Office based | Up to £24K

We are currently working with an accountancy practice based in Medway for an Accounts and Audit Junior. The role will be office based, however Hybrid maybe considered after successful completion of probation period.

The client portfolio is mixed in various sectors and locations, some travel to clients may be required, to various parts of Kent and attendance at meetings in our London office for those clients not based locally.

The role will involve:

· To prepare statutory accounts for Limited Companies, including Corporation Tax Computations and CT600’s. To prepare accounts for Sole Traders and Partnerships together with the relevant Income Tax computations.

· To assist in book-keeping for clients, completion of VAT returns.

· To assist both members of staff and clients with bookkeeping and VAT return queries.

· To attend at audit clients and undertake basic audit testing, training and supervision will be given, audit experience not essential but helpful.

What you will need:

• Numerate

• Good technical skills

• Experience of Word, Excel, Quickbooks online, Xero – training will be given

• Experience of CCH accounts production/Corporation tax would be useful but not essential

• Good communicator, especially with clients and colleagues

• A team player

• Be able to use own initiative and be proactive

• Have a full driving licence and access to vehicle.
