Position Title: Head of Concept Engineering

Duration: Permanent

Location: Coventry - Hybrid/Remote

Role purpose:

• Studio engineering within our Client needs to support a broader remit of vehicle design development that encompasses advanced vehicle architecture, design concept innovation and technology implementation.

• The emphasis of programmes will be shifted to give greater strategic importance to the advanced phase.

• Design’s contribution to these phases needs to be robust and support the aspirations of the brand with feasible and progressive design led vehicle solutions.

Position description:

• A Head of Concept Engineering role builds on the established reputation of studio engineering but moves the offering to a broader and more holistic position.

• The role of Head of Concept Engineering is responsible for the technical development and delivery of vehicle technical content.

• The role will head the department within the studio that creates whole vehicle technical concepts as a foundation for design and acts as the conduit between vehicle engineering and manufacturing teams in the broader business.

• Studio Engineering and technical programme content liaison are integral parts of the Design Concept Engineering department.

Requirements:

• The preferred candidate would have extensive technical experience from either a studio engineering or vehicle concept engineering background.

• They should have experienced managing teams across multiple work streams.

• They should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering vehicles to production.

• The candidate is expected to contribute strategically for both programmes and the Client as a business.

• Can demonstrate soft skills of negotiation and stakeholder relationship management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £80,000.00-£110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
