Roundsperson

Cotteswold Dairy - a family business with 85 years’ history - are looking for a motivated, reliable milk delivery roundsperson to join the team at our busy Shropshire Depot. The successful applicant will have a clean UK driving licence, with a passion to learn and develop; deliver milk to our residential customers and enjoy building solid customer relations

The Milk Delivery Roundsperson Role

As a representative of Cotteswold Dairy, quality and customer service will be at the heart of this position. You must be reliable, confident, and able to communicate effectively while being a team player. You will deliver excellent customer service and be able to work flexibly. Shift start times are determined by the round finish time and may flex at short notice. Due to the external nature of this role, working days may vary during periods of inclement weather

Key duties of this role include:

• The delivery of dairy and dairy related products to residential customers
• The operation of electronic handheld units for ordering and invoicing
• The loading and unloading of Company vehicles

Milk Delivery Roundsperson Working Hours †

Full time, permanent, minimum of 40 hours per week, job & finish, over four nights. Night-time hours through to early morning as required. You will be required to work an additional day per week on up to 4 occasions per year

In order to comply with the Working Time Directive, this will be averaged out over a period of 26 weeks

Start times vary based on the finish time of individual rounds

IMPORTANT - This physically active role involves working nights and early mornings, and requires manual handling

You will have a positive attitude, and have a keen eye for detail; be reliably able to commute to work at the shift times indicated, and be flexible to work the full shift pattern including Bank Holidays

Commission payments, gallonage payments and driving bonuses are paid on top of the salaried rate and are subject to terms and conditions. These can be discussed with the line manager at interview
