Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Alcohol Liason Nurse is a new & exciting role within the Alcohol Care Team, which provides care and treatment for patients with alcohol misuse issues in a hospital environment. They will assess the needs of the individual patient and deliver appropriate psycho-social interventions. They will be responsible for managing a caseload of individual patients who are not engaging in the community but continue to come to hospital.
The Alcohol Liason Nurse will be flexible to meet the needs of the team and will demonstrate knowledge, expertise and passion in working within the speciality of alcohol misuse. The assessments will be undertaken under the direct supervision of the Lead Alcohol Care Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Job is temporary for 2 year but we are working hard to secure more funding to extend this as a permanent role.
