Role Overview & Responsibilities
The School of Art and Design is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious design practitioner to join our team of academics delivering programmes in Interior Architecture and Design.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and learning on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and collaborate with colleagues across the wider suite of design disciplines taught in School. Applicants should demonstrate a wide range of design experience, with evidence of engagement in the education context or supporting learning in industry settings. Bringing discipline-specific digital skills expertise (e.g. vector works, CAD, Adobe) as well as well as industry experience, this role is essential to developing student capabilities against the course-related graduate attributes framework.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high level digital fluency and a continuing engagement with professional, scholarly and pedagogic development. Those without a teaching qualification will be required to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE or secure a HEA fellowship.
As a Teaching Fellow post, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an academic career. Experience of teaching students within a HEI or mentoring within a professional setting would be advantageous.
