Warehouse Operative - Goods Out

Dean & Wood is a leading refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler with 17 branches throughout the UK. We have a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative at our Distribution Centre in Morley.

The Warehouse Operative is expected to ensure customers receive a fast and efficient response to distribution enquiries, building customer loyalty and enhancing the company’s reputation for service.

Your main duties will include:

• Goods inwards or outwards - picking, packing, loading and off-loading vehicles
• Use of warehouse equipment, including forklift truck driving
• Use of computerised despatch system (SAP) to book in product, etc
• Daily branch proposal and continuous stock taking
• Day-to-day administration

The ideal Warehouse Operative will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to operate a forklift truck (Counterbalance and Pivot Steer Lift) is desirable, but not essential; training will be given
• Familiarity with computerised despatch systems (SAP) would be an advantage
• You would need to enjoy working as part of a team
• Effective communication skills

Full training will be provided on all product and service offerings.

Your normal working hours will be based on a 42.5 hour working week, usually Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm. However, you will be expected to work a daily 8.5 hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a flexible basis.
