Role Overview & Responsibilities
Dovecote View is currently recruiting for a kitchen assistant/relief cook for our residential care home in Chichester. As a Kitchen Assistant at Dovecote View, you will be providing support to the kitchen manager, serving residents drinks and meals, such as serving breakfast, lunch or supper.
We are looking for someone who can work 20.5 hours per week. Shifts are from 7.30am-2pm or 2pm until 6.30pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays every week.
Duties include (but are not limited to):-
- Preparing homely breakfasts, and ensuring all are nicely presented.
- Preparing and distributing drinks.
- Loading & unloading the dishwasher, and hand-washing items.
- Restocking & refilling.
- General Food preparation.
- Maintain food hygiene standards of good practice, and undertake cleaning of the kitchen, appliances & equipment (to include mopping, wiping down, disinfecting etc).
- Completing legally required paperwork, e.g cleaning records, fridge temperatures.
