Senior Kennel Assistant
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a full time Senior Kennel Assistant to join our team. The role is 5 days a week including a weekend day and bank holidays. The hours are 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm.
The role involves
- Cleaning kennels and cat units
- Exercising dogs in all weathers
- Preparing and distributing food including special diets
- Giving medication to both dogs and cats
- Welcoming customers
- Answering phone calls, taking bookings and payments
- Bathing and brushing dogs
- Keeping communal and exterior areas clean and tidy
Requirements
- Must be experienced at working with animals ideally with an animal management diploma
- A good team player but also with the confidence and initiative to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit as the role is physically demanding
- Reliable and punctual
- Ideally to have your own transport as we are in a rural location
- Above all to have a real passion for giving excellent care to the dogs and cats staying with us
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
