Role Overview & Responsibilities
This an opportunity to join as substantive consultant psychiatrist the Newham Mental Health Liaison and Psychological Medicine Service, which provides care across A&E and inpatient settings within Newham University Hospital (Barts Health).
The post has become available due to previous substantive post-holder relocating out of London.
The Trust is seeking a consultant psychiatrist to join the Newham psychiatry liaison team. The vacancy has arisen as the result of the current post-holder moving to another post within the Trust. The post-holder will clinically supervise trainees in psychiatry in addition to non-medical members of the MDT. It is anticipated that the post-holder will provide liaison psychiatry care across the range of contexts in NUH and will develop close working relationships with colleagues working in acute care in NUH.
