BIM (Building Information Modelling) Apprentice
Role Overview & Responsibilities
EN: Able Futures, an award winning apprenticeship employer have partnered with the experienced and established team at CAD21 and are offering a fantastic opportunity for a BIM (Building Information Modelling) Apprentice to work with and become part of their growing team.
As a BIM Apprentice you will develop your skills and knowledge working within a software package called Revit to produce drawings from a 3D modelling environment for engineering services across all stages of design. This could be from concept through to installation of building services within a construction build project.
- The work will also involve input of digital data for the using of whole life management of the building assets through the integrated building model
- Learn to use Autocad software for designs
- Learn to use Revit software for designs www.autodesk.co.uk
- Using Microsoft packages
- Collaborating with Architects and Structural Engineer
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate a keen interest in CAD.
- Have an enthusiastic manner.
- Have a desire to work in the construction industry.
- Have a good attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Have a good level of Maths and Analytical skills.
- Have effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Digital Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Duration 36 months plus 3 months End Point Assessment
- College day release - Hartlepool College
Qualifications Needed
- GCSE or equivalent English language (Grade A-C / 5-9) essential
- GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade B/6) essential
- GCSE or equivalent Science (Grade A-C / 5-9) essential
Annual wage
£10,263.24/ £197.37/week (this is made up of National Apprenticeship Wage plus weekly £17 travel allowance) Note that from April 1st 2023 the wage will be £215/week (as NAW is rising to £5.28/hour).
Working week
8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday with an hour for lunch.
