Retail Manager

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable manager for our retail operations including the management of both our ecommerce platforms and shops.

• Salary in the range of £25,000 to £27,560 per annum dependant on experience

The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of retail management, with extensive demonstrable experience of managing ecommerce platforms as well as traditional sales points. Candidates should have an enthusiasm and flair for product development and a thorough understanding of the tourist retail market. Specific knowledge of railway based retail and / or knowledge of the North Wales market would be an advantage.

Core Skills:

• Experience of working in a retail environment at a senior level
• Numerate, literate and excellent computer skills, to include the management of cloud based ecommerce software and the installation and maintenance of associated hardware
• Strong leadership skills and experience of team management
• Good communication skills and a cheerful disposition
• Management and budgeting experience
• An interest in, and experience of, retail aesthetics and design
• An understanding of tourism related retail
• An understanding of railway related retail, including model railway retail, is highly desirable
• The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage as would knowledge of the railways and their passengers; and the local area
