Doggy Daycare Driver/Walker

I run a small and friendly doggy daycare business near Loughborough Junction in SE London. We're looking for a totally pawsome part time driver/dog walker to join our lovely team!

The role:

Your days will be spent collecting dogs from their homes and bringing them to daycare, walking our pack of furry friends, writing "pupdates" to customers and generally helping at the daycare centre to ensure things run smoothly and the dogs have the best time with us during the day.

As this is also a customer facing role we’re looking for an individual who is not only caring and confident in handling dogs, but is friendly, professional and approachable with our hooman customers too!

The successful candidate will gain experience handling dogs day to day, and also have access to accreddited qualifications eg. Pet First Aid, Animal Behaviour, Body Language to name a few. We support valued members of staff who have interests in particular areas such as Dog Handling or Dog Training, with access to beginner, intermediate and advanced courses.

The ideal candidate must be:

• confident in handling dogs
• confident in driving a manual van
• punctual
• reliable
• trustworthy
• flexible
• friendly and approachable
• a team player
• proactive and have a “can do” attitude
• able to work outside in all weathers
• able to provide at least two references and a DBS check
• have a full, clean UK driving licence

You must have a clean Full UK driving licence, be over 25 and be eligible to work in the UK. It would be desirable for you to live locally to the centre (SE5) and be willing and able to board dogs at your home from time to time, so please highlight this in your application if it applies.

Salary is £22,000 per annum
