As the Cash and Banking Assistant you’ll be responsible for reconciling all store payments, monitoring and investigating any issues across the Five Guys UK and Europe.

Your responsibilities:

• Daily / weekly reconciliation of all payment types including cash, card, online orders, gift cards and delivery across the JV using various software.
• Investigate any variances / issues with the relevant stores.
• Liaising with District Managers and Senior Operations Team
• Compiling variance reports for distribution to stores and DMs
• Monitor outstanding change orders on a weekly basis
• Weekly checks of refunds and keyed transactions
• Weekly reconciliation of online orders
• Daily monitoring for issues (suspected fraud/duplicated payments etc)
• Process refunds from Customer Services
• Dealing with Gift Card queries from Customer Services
• Loading promotional Gift Cards for Brand / Customer Services
• Ordering and distributing banking books to stores
• Setting up new sites and float deliveries with cash in transit couriers
• Monitoring missed cash collections
• Resolving any cash in transit issues
• Submitting remake reports to third party delivery providers
• Reconciling the cash in transit balance sheet accounts
• Responding and dealing with chargeback queries
• Producing month end journals and sales adjustments
• Liaising with the wider finance team as required

Your Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of excel.
• Good numeric and analytical skills, high attention to detail, able to compare data, compile reports and present data in a clear, concise way.
• Good communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate information effectively at all levels
• Pro-active with problem solving and the ability to investigate and diagnose issues and make improvements
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience of cash and card reconciliations
• Previous experience of working within a Finance Team
• Knowledge of other languages French, German and Spanish would be advantageous
