Role Overview & Responsibilities
This post offers the opportunity to be involved in the Medical Education of Medical Students, whilst maintaining clinical exposure and experience in a supportive educational environment. The prime function of the post holder is as a teacher delivering core content and providing tutoring for medical students from Year 2 to Year 5 of the Undergraduate Curriculum of Bristol University. Teaching will take place in a variety of forms: small group tutorials, large group tutorials, seminars, skills based practical sessions, bed-side clinical teaching and clinical based history and examination. The majority of this teaching will be relevant to Year 3, although there will be also teaching of students in other clinical years. The post holder will be expected to spend time developing teaching sessions in a variety of formats including e-learning materials. Contributions to the appraisal and examination of students will be required.
