About us

GoggleSquad was founded by former Great Britain synchronised swimmer Nicola Ayers when she found that many parents and adult learners were crying out for high quality swimming lessons in an environment designed to help learners progress fast. Nicola set out to fill that gap by focussing on her essential priorities that guide every decision, from hiring and lesson planning to selecting the best teaching venues. GoggleSquad is proud to have received 100% positive reviews from parents and adult learners since we started operating in early 2020.

We are seeking an experienced Swimming Teacher to teach at a new venue in Cobham, Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional swimming lessons to students of all ages and abilities .

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to learners in line with the Swim England framework.
  • Ensure the welfare of all learners by maintaining a safe and secure swimming environment.
  • Develop lesson plans as required to cater to the needs of every learner.
  • Monitor and evaluate learner progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners and parents to help them improve their swimming skills.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and progress.
  • Teach lessons on weekends (Saturday and Sunday mornings), after school during the week and during school holidays (Summer, half terms, Easter).
  • Ensure that the swimming pool area and equipment is clean and organisedafter lessons.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • ASA Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS checked
  • Lifeguard or water safety qualification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with learners of all ages and abilities
  • Baby pre-school qualification desirable but not essential

Job Type: Freelance

Salary: £30.00-£38.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cobham, Surrey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
