Kennel Assistant

We are a family run boarding kennels and cattery in Plummers Plain and are looking for a Full Time Kennel Assistant to join our team. The role is 5 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Hours are from 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic animal lover who is confident with animals, hard working, reliable and works well within a team.

The role will involve:

- Primarily cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, but also;

- Assisting with feeding routines;

- Walking the dogs on-site in ALL weathers;

- Assisting with socialisations and;

- Monitoring and recording animal welfare.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a kennel environment or working with dogs preferred;

- You must have reliable transport as our location is very rural and without public transport;

- You must be physically fit - the role is extremely physically demanding;

- You must be willing to take instruction and assist where required;

- A team player but also sufficiently confident to work independently.
