Role Overview & Responsibilities
Head of Midwifery (8c)
An exciting opportunity has risen within the HHFT Maternity Service for a Head of Midwifery post based at the RHCH.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with experience of midwifery leadership and ready to engage in a senior role within the midwifery leadership team. Working closely with the Director of Midwifery, the BNHH Head of Midwifery and the wider maternity multidisciplinary team, the individual will embrace the challenge of progressing the maternity service at HHFT in its trajectory of improvement.
This individual will work in partnership with the BNHH Head of Midwifery managing clinical and operational priorities, ensure business continuity is maintained, service improvements are realised and work to meet the national maternity transformation agenda and local LMNS priorities. Representing HHFT maternity at both internal and external forums this individual will be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge regarding the current national, regional, and local expectations for maternity services.
