Person to assist an assistant manager at Poultry Farm

We are looking for someone to work closely alongside our current assistant manager for a reasonable sized poultry farm. We are wanting to act up when needed and be confident within their role.
must have a clear understanding of all paperwork used on a farm like, Red Tractor Audit, Licences etc

as well as this normal duties alongside other staff members

Good time keeping - Early Start and some evening / night work will be required.

Good Personal Hygiene

Regular checking of the birds and Regular Checking of sheds

Removing Dead birds and culling of those that are sick or as needed

Recording of above figures and some other record keeping

Regular checking of shed machinery and reporting if faulty or not working to the Manager

Regular checks of feed and water feeders

Regular checking of Temperatures and recording

Some knowledge of Ventilation Systems is desirable

Spreading of litter as and when needed

Helping to set up the sheds ready for the new intake of birds (8 week turnaround)

Evening Checks of shed as per staff rota

Night checks and going onto the alarm call system (this may mean attending site during a night)

Adhering to on site rules and health and safety regulations

Some night work will be required when birds are being removed from site

Free On site Accommodation may be available after a succesfull trial basis for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.00-£12.50 per hour
