Role Overview & Responsibilities
An exciting job opportunity has become available with us at hillside fisheries, located near bridgend in south Wales.
This is great opportunity for someone with a passion for koi.
This position will run up until September.
The Fish farm grows and breeds ornamental fish and supplies them to garden centres around the country. The spring and summer period is our busiest time with spawning, general fish husbandry, fulfilling orders, sorting and packing boxes ready for delivery etc.
Some of the main duties include caring for the livestock, water testing, feeding, counting, and sorting.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking and with a keen interest in koi, be self-motivated, positive and organised.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 5 months
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bridgend: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Aquarist (preferred)
Work Location: In person
