*Humans Cornwall are supporting people to find personal assistants. The role may be a private arrangement or funded through a Direct payment*

Location: Bude locality

Gentleman who enjoys horse-riding and the outdoors seeks an organised and experienced personal assistant (local preferred) to support him to re-open open his life. He has diagnosis of Autism, OCD & a learning disability.

Support required:

· Personal care

· Encouragement & support in the community

· Meal preparation

Hourly rate of pay: £10.90 or £13.54 (if self-employed)

Total hours: 49 hours per week; 2 roles available.

Monday to Friday:9am-3pm or 10am-4pm.

Weekends: On a rotational basis; also respite weekend support for breaks away (includes sleep-ins)

(Please be aware of how many hours/what days you can work)

Essential:

- Full driving licence – gentleman has a mobility car

- Someone who doesn’t mind being in a busy house or around animals

- Someone who is able to adapt to the needs of the people they support and work proactively to plan activities

- Experience preferred for supported people in a learning disability setting
