Role Overview & Responsibilities

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join Iksuda and develop its high value Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) platforms for the treatment of hard-to-beat cancers. You will contribute to the successful growth and positioning of the company as a thought leader in this therapeutic arena.

The successful candidate will be innovative and forward thinking and apply established assay development and cell biology skills to the validation of ADCs for the advancement to clinical stage development.

Key Responsibilities

· To contribute ideas to technology development strategies and maintain a culture of continual improvement and scientific excellence.

· To coordinate the validation of ADCs, and cytotoxins in cell-based assays for the advancement of lead candidates to clinical stage development, including;

o Viability assays

o Cell binding assays

o Flow Cytometry

· To be proactive in the development and validation of novel assays for the validation of ADCs.

· To have an active role in the development of Iksuda’s therapeutics pipeline.

· To present results in written reports and oral presentations at team meetings.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

It is essential that the successful candidate possess:

· Experience in handling of mammalian cell cultures.

· Experience in in-vitro assay development.

· Experience in handling and analysing protein samples (e.g., UV-vis spectrometry, Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, ELISA).

It is desirable that the successful candidate possess:

· Knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing or products

· Knowledge of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs)

· Experience of working with antibodies

· Experience in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry staining

The ideal candidate would:

· Have excellent attention to detail

· Have demonstrable decision-making skills

· Have the ability to analyse, interpret, and report experimental findings

· Have a high level of IT proficiency

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· The ability to work in a cooperative team environment

Education and Training

· A minimum of BSc in Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry is required, but additional academic qualifications and experience in academia or industry are welcomed, where training, job title and salary, will be tailored accordingly.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
