Assistant Management Accountant

Please note, internally this role is know as a Finance Analyst.

What’s the role about?

As a Finance Analyst, you will support the Finance Manager with financial processes, control and reporting. You will be responsible for collating data and information from a number of sources to develop and distribute meaningful management information, to different stakeholders, to enhance business decision making.

What will you be doing?

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of useful and insightful reporting.

• Responsible for the end to end monthly accounting process, providing financial and management accounts reporting.

• Responsible for the production of operational and commercial analysis for financial and KPI performance reporting.

• Maintain and ensure costs reporting is accurate flagging issues with suggestions for improvements.

• Deputise & support Finance Manager where appropriate.

Location

This role is based in an office at our Herbert Parkinson Textile Factory in Darwen, Lancashire.

What you'll have

• Currently working towards a qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT exams Level 4

• Working knowledge of computer based financial software packages

• Excellent attention to detail

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles

• High level of technical skill using Microsoft Excel

• Experience of working with, manipulating and extracting data from systems

What else could you bring?

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA – Passed 1st level or AAT qualified

• Experience of a manufacturing ERP system

• Experience of working within an SME retail or manufacturing environment

• Familiarity with databases including design, structure and SQL

• Data cleansing and MI report production

• Management of multiple stakeholders

• Experience of improving processes
