Live-in Nanny or Manny / Housekeeper in the Cotswolds
Role Overview & Responsibilities
This is a truly lovely, and important, Nanny or Manny / Housekeeper role supporting a single Mother and her 2 boys (9 and 7). As well as nannying you will need to be able to carry out general housekeeping and cooking for the family, although there is an additional housekeeper too.
The mother is aware of the importance that this person plays in ensuring a happy family life and would like you to become an integral part of their family.
Duties include:
- helping with homework and reading
- school runs so a driver with a clean licence is essential
- liaising with the father who lives locally
- preparing meals for the family
- helping with bath and bedtime routine
- wiping down the kitchen surfaces and cooking utensils after use
- organising the laundry and ironing
- general cleaning and tidying
- running errands and shopping for groceries
- changing the bedsheets
- arranging and taking the children to activities
You will be competent, practical and have plenty of experience with children from either a personal and / or professional life and have a love of the countryside. You will be kind, but firm. We are looking for someone who is flexible, organised; good and hard-working who will be loyal to mum. You will enjoy cooking and be happy and able to prepare tasty, nutritious food. Arrange fun and engaging activities, ensuring they have plenty of outside time. There is also the possibility of travel with family.
You will be provided with accommodation in the form of a separate pretty 2 bedroom cottage (in the village) with its own private garden. The position would also suit someone with a Partner, who would work independently / locally.
40 hours a week working on average 2 weekends out of 4, days off in lieu when working weekends.
£30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
