Apprentice Joiner

Fixed term, 4 year apprenticeship.

This post is based at Link’s Falkirk office.

Hour of Work: 39 per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: National minimum wage rates apply.

The Role

Link is looking for an Apprentice Joiner to join C~urb’s In-House Trades team. The Apprentice Joiner will deliver a high quality service to Link’s tenants.

They will work under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, carrying out all aspects of joinery work on refurbishments and reactive maintenance in Link’s properties. The job holder will work towards a SVQ Level 6 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery.

The successful postholder will demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect for property, maintaining expected standards of work and ensuring workspace is kept tidy.

About You

As an Apprentice Joiner, you will have 4 Standard Grades at Level 3/4 or above or the new National 5 in relevant subjects as an entry requirement. You will have a willingness to undertake an SVQ in Carpentry and Joinery SCQF Level 6 qualification.

You will have a willingness to work flexibly with other Maintenance Operatives in the team and a commitment to providing excellent customer care. This role requires good communication skills, both oral and written.

The successful postholder will have the ability to work within a team and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The Apprentice Joiner will have the willingness to obtain drivers licence by year 2.
