School Counsellor
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Part-time; 20 hours per school week, term time.
Salary: The starting salary will be in the region of a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000- £35,000 per year, pro-rated for the number of hours and weeks worked;
Responsible to: Head
THE ROLE
To provide a high-quality counselling service to children experiencing a wide range of emotional problems.
To provide support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the school.
To signpost further support where required through professional channels and local recognised pathways in a timely manner;
To observe confidentiality and to support the school’s endeavour to provide excellent teaching and learning for all students.
Actively contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people
