Role Overview & Responsibilities

Exploited Children’s Mapping & Researcher

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

We have an opportunity for a Mapping and Research officer to join our Exploited Children’s Team. This team provides support to our Statutory Child Protection Services including data analysis and direct support to the victims of child exploitation.

The post holder will be responsible for gathering information from a range of sources to find and develop intelligence which aids social workers, Police and other professionals to understand and respond to children who are being exploited.

The post holder is also responsible for completing association maps which demonstrate the links between exploited children and other relevant factors.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Anna Watson, Manager Exploited Children’s Team, by email at anna.watson@redbridge.gov.uk
