Water Quality Technician
School of Architecture, Building & Civil Engineering
Full time, open ended
£27,396 to £32,411 per annum subject to annual pay award.
The post holder will provide technical support for the School’s Water Quality activities including utilising Chemical, Biochemical and Micro-Biology skills. The duties are diverse in nature, ranging from organising and undertaking chemical and microbiological analysis of potable waters and sewage and trade effluents to the instruction of postgraduate and undergraduate students in aspects of water analysis, which occasionally involves working to support field studies together with fieldwork sample and data collection.
You will have a HNC/HND or degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry coupled with significant laboratory experience in one of these areas and a track record of working in analytical science including the use of relevant instrumentation.
