Waiter/Waitress

We are a busy restaurant and bar on the Albert Dock, serving a fabulous range of food and drink.

We are looking for a experienced waiting staff who have experience in very busy restaurants with very high standards. You need to be able to provide friendly, elegant and informal service, making our guests feel special and working to our clear order of service. We attract a lovely crowd who really love our product. You need to have an outgoing and engaging personality and be a fabulous ambassador for Lunyalita.

You will need experience of elegantly opening and serving wine, coffee making and electronic till systems.

Please note this is a full time position, working shifts five days per week, approx 35 hours per week. The salary is the equivalent of £9.60 per hour and we also have a service charge added to all bills which is split amongst all the staff each month. We offer a range of staff discounts as well. The job does include working weekends and evenings. We have a fantastic reputation and are a great place to work. We offer a competitive salary, bonuses and all of our staff share their tips via a tronc system. (A full timer should expect an additional £400-£500 (after tax) on top of the quoted salary per month)

Due to internal promotion, we are now recruiting additional floor staff who will form part of a hard-working, talented, tight-knit Kitchen team. Lunyalita is a unique and distinctive Catalan Restaurant & Bar on the Albert Dock. We are very busy with over 2500 covers every week. We personally source the very best of food and drink that Catalunya and Spain has. We’re a family owned and run company, with husband and wife team, Peter & Elaine Kinsella at the helm – real, honest and genuine people and a business that always tries to do the right thing – for our staff, suppliers and customers.

Our kitchen is extremely busy. With tapas, we cook over 8000 dishes every week and make lots of fresh food for the deli and bake over 1000 loaves of sourdough bread a week. Everything is made by us from the best possible ingredients.
