Role Overview & Responsibilities
Due to increased capacity, we are delighted to be opening the second floor of our purpose-built care home Greenan Manor. Our friendly team are looking for additional Care Assistants to join them due to this expansion.
Greenan Manor Care Home, situated in picturesque Doonfoot, South Ayrshire, opened in January 2021 and offers a selection of high quality ensuite rooms featuring a range of modern conveniences. The care home provides the highest quality personalised nursing care for older people including those living with dementia and its related conditions.
As a Care Assistant, Meallmore will allocate you your own mentor, as well as a comprehensive induction process. But why stop there? Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be a Senior Carer, Deputy Manager, or Manager, the choice is yours!
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:
- To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans
- To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home
- To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards
- To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice
- To have a holistic approach in achieving outcomes in collaboration with all departments within the care service
Required skills:
- Previous experience in care is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Care Inspectorate and National Care Home Standards is desirable
- Registered as a Care Worker with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) within required timescale

Hours: Full and Part time opportunities available, day and night shift.
