Role Overview & Responsibilities
Connecting and Protecting People, Microwave Products Group (MPG) is a leading global provider of mission-critical engineered electronic components and subsystems comprised of four business units in five manufacturing locations. Our expertise is the design and manufacture of communications-based speciality products – engineered components and subsystems – for demanding military, space, commercial aerospace/industrial and telecom infrastructure applications where function and reliability are crucial.
Working as part of a highly skilled, friendly, customer and results focussed Production team, in line with competence, contributing to the production of high quality filters for customers. completing a fixed term contract for 6-9 months to complete a key customer order. Reporting to the Cell Lead an working either an early or later shift to complete the following tasks:
Using specification sheets, production and engineering drawing and following standard operating procedures to understand and follow required actions to complete assigned tasks for each filter process. Processes to build filters will depend on complexity and will range from 20-47 individual stages.
Recording and taking data from analysers and other equipment to enable test equipment to be calibrated.
Complete required training and apply learning and competency back into job role.
Proactively contribute to delivering and communicating the BSC Production Plan.
Drive a continuous improvement ethos through own actions and contributions, maintaining and improving service delivery.
Deputise for other members of the team in agreed responsibilities.
Positively present the role of Production Technician, completing required training activities to meet job role and business requirements and personal competency.
