Role Overview & Responsibilities
Mixed family run dairy farm seeks reliable enthusiastic general farm worker to join its team. The farm is based near Ilminster, Somerset.
The farm milks 300 holstein cows and rears its own replacements. In addition it fattens all beef calves, has a flock of winter lambing sheep and grows 450 acres of combinable crops.
The farm handles most operations in house, so the role varies throughout the seasons. The job consists of a mixture of livestock work (feeding, bedding, scraping, checking livestock at grass, putting up electric fences, moving livestock etc) and tractor based field work (hauling grain/silage/bale trailers, tedding & raking grass, slurry tanking, powerharrowing, rolling etc).
A driving licence is essential for the role and some previous experience working with livestock and tractors would be preferred. Rates of pay will vary according to experience.

Salary: £8.00-£11.00 per hour
