About Our Client
Our client is a very successful and long-standing business and is one of the largest producers of ornamentals in the UK. They have an extensive network and are now needing someone to support them in the grower management at one of their sites.
About the Role
The purpose of the role is to oversee the growing of quality products on a large commercial scale, meeting set specifications and input targets whilst managing the processes throughout with a specific focus on quality and wastage management. You will manage the daily tasks and working hours of the growing team including weekend rotas and also, and you will implement and manage a weed control strategy across Wholesale sites, cultural and chemical.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with experience in a commercial growing environment, either in ornamentals or edible crops. People management plays a big part in this role, and the business is keen to maximise continuous improvement and welcome new ideas.
