Role Overview & Responsibilities

Company description

Musicians Ltd was formed in 2001 and offers the widest range of Instrumental and Performing arts lessons in the Cayman Islands delivered by a staff of eight professionally trained teachers. Lessons are available both at local schools and at our purpose-built Studio.

Job description

We currently have the following opening starting September 2023:

Full Time Peripatetic Guitar/Drums/Piano Teacher

It would be an advantage if the candidate was also proficient in the area of performing arts as there are openings for teachers in this department.

All employees at Musicians Ltd are required to teach up to 35 hours per week – instrumental lessons are mostly individual, but there are sometimes paired lessons depending on the instrument. All instrumental lessons are given once weekly for thirty minutes each week. Staff teach at some local schools during the school day (primary and secondary level) and also at our studio after school hours and on Saturdays. Our students work towards their grade exams – we use Trinity Guildhall Board here since ABRSM is not offered on this island.

We also offer group performing arts classes (Broadway Tots 3-5 yrs, Broadway Stars 6-9 yrs, Musical Theatre 10-16 yrs) – these students work towards shows at the end of the first and third term.

I would be grateful if you could display the ad on your notice board and forward this message to any interested musicians/performing arts students.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to travel and broaden their musical experiences abroad. This position comes with an attractive package - CI$40,000 tax free, flight, medical and pension.

Deadline for entry is Friday 17th March 2023.
